Biography

Andrea Klausner is a NYC-based street photographer and member of Women Street Photographers. She loves traveling the world with her partner and her camera, as well as roaming the streets of her hometown of New York City, always on the lookout for that decisive moment. Wherever she goes, she is drawn to quieter compositions with strong contrasts, shadows, and silhouettes, and in black and white for their timeless qualities. But she also loves trying to find or create order in the chaos of the streets and the energy that color brings to photographs. Her work has been exhibited in the U.S. and internationally – in New York City (Photoville, Salmagundi Club, Soho Photo Gallery, Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition), Minneapolis, Portland, Mexico, Dublin, Brussels, India, Costa Rica, Tehran, and Australia – and in Street Photography Magazine.
