Levi Goldbaum

Germany

Biography

I am a German street photographer, influenced by the aesthetics of 70s and 80s horror films and shaped by alternative subcultures. I started photography in 2012 during my university years, initially focusing on travel and landscape photography. Since 2019, I have been dedicated to street photography.

My work plays with color, contrast, and immediacy to pull the viewer into the scenes and narratives I explore. I seek out moments where the familiar shifts into the surreal—hidden, often eerie situations within everyday life. Using flash, unexpected perspectives, and strong contrasts, I create images that blur the line between reality and illusion, challenging perception. I am drawn to places where reality feels slightly off, revealing quiet yet unsettling stories beneath the surface.
