The International Photography Festivals Association (IPFA) was created from this shared vision to provide a platform that strengthens festivals, connects professionals, and amplifies the role of photography worldwide.
Our Motivation
The IPFA was established after the First International Meeting of Photography Festivals in Barcelona in July 2025, where professionals gathered to reflect on the needs of the sector. During this meeting, we identified the urgency of building stronger networks, advocating for recognition, and ensuring the sustainability of photography festivals worldwide. Today, this motivation continues to guide our mission to make photography festivals more connected, inclusive, and impactful.
