Lana Mayoute

Lana Mayoute is a Guadeloupean-French curator and cultural practitioner whose work explores identity, diaspora, and Caribbean artistic expression. Founder of Diaspo’ART and coordinator of the FOTOTRAS festival, she develops photographic projects, collaborates with regional networks, and engages in decolonial, community-driven artistic research and circulation.

Ioana Cobzaru

Curator and visual artist based in the Netherlands. She works independently as an art and photography festival curator, event producer, and moderator. As chair and chief curator of the Photo31 Foundation, she promotes photographers’ visibility and fosters collaborations with galleries and museums. She is passionate about supporting emerging artists.

Nelson Marmelo

Nelson Marmelo Photographer, curator, and artistic director. Graduated in photography and visual arts, with experience in medicine and diagnostic imaging. Founder and artistic director of Diafragma – Covilhã International Photography Festival and the co-founder of the international collective Afinidades. Exhibits internationally and works as a juror, and curator in the field of photography.

Shirin Abedi

Shirin Abedi is an award winning German-Iranian documentary photographer based in Amsterdam. Her work explores themes of love and pain. Shirin publishes an irregular newsletter “On Photography and Life”, and founded the IRAN FOTO FEST in 2025, an independent festival for documentary photography from–in–for Iran.

João Kulcsár is the founder and director of São Paulo Photo Festival and Paranapiacaba Photo Festival. A curator of over 100 photographic exhibitions in Brazil and internationally, he is also a professor at Senac University and works extensively on visual literacy, accessibility, and photography for visually impaired audiences.

Cedric Calvados

Cédrick-Isham Calvados is a Guadeloupean artist and filmmaker whose work explores identity, memory, and territory through Caribbean and postcolonial perspectives. A BnF laureate, he has exhibited internationally and founded FOTOLIB and the FOTOTRAS festival, promoting photography as a tool for expression, transmission, and community dialogue.

Jakub Dziewit

Lens-based artist, visual researcher, anthropologist, curator, and photobook publisher. Xavi Herrero is a Catalan filmmaker and producer based in Ibiza since 2014, where he founded the Ibizacinefest, the island’s international independent film festival. Awarded at the Málaga Festival, he blends cinema and photography to explore human stories. In 2025, he begins a new creative phase with Street Photography Barcelona.

Teona Omar Gogichaishvili

Georgian-born curator, visual artist, and lecturer based in Germany. Co-organizer and curator of KOLGA TBILISI PHOTO and co-founder of PURPUR COLLECTIVE. Regular jury member and portfolio reviewer at major international photography platforms, including FotoFest Houston, Visa pour l’Image, and ICP New York. Her work explores themes of home, migration, womanhood, and diversity.

Arnaud Laroche & Luna Coqueiro

Arnaud Laroche is the director of the Boutographies festival. Trained in image-making, he has led the festival since 2002 and regularly participates in international events as a portfolio review expert.
Luna Coqueiro is the assistant director of the Boutographies festival. She joined the team in 2023 and works on national and international projects, cultural mediation, and festival administration.

Educator and lecturer in artistic theory and practice in Barcelona. She holds a Master’s degree in Humanities and Contemporary Art from the UOC and researches artistic expressions in urban space. Mauricio Mejia Muñoz

Photographer, audiovisual filmmaker, and visual educator with more than 17 years of experience creating photographic and audiovisual narratives that explore the relationship between territory, identity, and cultural transformation. My work combines visual documentary practice, cinematography, and community-based pedagogy, generating processes in which the image becomes a tool for memory, education, and reflection.

Jean-Yves Camus is director of the Nouvel Observatoire Photographique du Grand Est, where he leads programmes for contemporary photographic creation and professional support. He oversees L’Événement Photographique and Starting Blocks NCY, directs the NOP-Galerie, and develops research-based projects on mountain territories and the snow economy. He lives and works between Nancy, Briançon, and Paris.

Rui Prata is a Portuguese curator and founder of Encontros da Imagem and the Imago Festival. With a background in history and curatorial studies, he has directed institutions, taught, and curated internationally. Julio Pantoja

How do the Reviews work?
A personal meeting with a festival director or curator that can change your life.
Each review lasts 20 minutes and takes place in a one-to-one format, in a professional and close environment in the Centre Cívic Pati Llimona (Barcelona, Spain). There is no mandatory format, and you can show your work as you prefer:
