The 20 artists selected through the IPFA Award to present solo exhibitions at 20 international photography festivals are: Amélie Ravalec, Antonio Pérez, Belliisi Seenemaa, Brian Hodges, Deb Choudhuri, Francesca Magnani, Guo Li, Hanno Ketterer, Jana Hartmann, János Bodey, Julia Wimmerlin, Juliette Erkelens, Markus Kaesler, Nina Pacherová, Pablo Vergara, Paroma Basu, Sabrina Onana, Tatiana Cardellicchio, Vincent Duluc-David, and Viktoria Chocholová. Each festival chose one artist from the open call, creating a network of exhibitions that will take place in different cities and cultural contexts around the world.
The selected artists reflect a wide range of contemporary photographic practices, from experimental techniques to conceptual and narrative approaches. Through these exhibitions, their work will travel across the international festival circuit, connecting with new audiences and becoming part of a shared global conversation around photography today.
This decentralized exhibition model creates direct links between artists and festivals, offering real opportunities for visibility, exchange and collaboration. Rather than a single central show, the program unfolds across multiple locations, allowing each project to be presented within a specific curatorial context and local audience, while remaining part of a wider international network.

The International Photography Festivals Association (IPFA) successfully held the IPFA Award open call between November 2025 and January 2026, bringing together photographers and artists from around the world. Conceived as more than a traditional prize, the IPFA Award functions as an international platform to explore, share and transform contemporary photography, connecting photographers with festivals, curators and audiences worldwide.
The submitted works were reviewed by directors and curators from Abuja International Photo Festival (Nigeria), Belgrade Photo Month (Serbia), Bienal Argentina de Fotografía Documental (Argentina), Budapest Photo Festival (Hungary), Colombia Foto Fest (Colombia), Experimental Photo Festival (Spain), Festival de Fotografia de Paranapiacaba (Brazil), Festival Foto Brasil (Brazil), Fokus Award (Albania), Fotofestival Pelt (Belgium), f/stop (Germany), Humanisme Vision (France), Le vie delle Foto (Italy), Les Boutographies (France), MontPhoto (Spain), PhotoNOLA (United States), Photometria (Greece), Photoworks (United Kingdom), Street Photography Barcelona Festival (Spain), and Tomar la calle fotofest (Mexico). Each acting as a jury and curator for their own exhibition. As a result, selected artists will participate in 20 exhibitions presented across these festivals, expanding their visibility and international projection.
In addition, 50 finalist artists have been selected to take part in a collective exhibition that will open on March 19, 2026, at Sala Golfes, the official IPFA Gallery in Barcelona. The opening will include a public event and a certificate ceremony recognizing the participation of the finalists, and the exhibition will continue its journey through different partner festivals.
FINALISTS ARTISTS
The 50 finalists bring together a wide range of voices, processes and visual languages emerging from the international open call. The artists presents a diverse constellation of practices, where different techniques, narratives and personal explorations coexist within the field of contemporary photography, reflecting a horizontal approach that seeks to democratize visibility and create space for multiple perspectives on photography today.
