Info sull'evento

In 2026, the Brussels Street Photography Festival (BSPF) celebrates ten years of bringing contemporary street photography into dialogue with the city. From 28 to 31 May, BSPF returns with a special anniversary edition across Brussels, marking a decade of encounters and stories shaped in public space. Iconic locations including the recently renovated Bourse building, the Halles Saint-Géry and Brussels City Hall on the UNESCO-listed Grand Place, will set the stage for this celebration.

At the heart of the festival, the finalists’ images will be exhibited at the Bourse, transforming the building into a vibrant meeting point for photographers, jurors and the public. Featuring both emerging and established artists from around the world, showcasing the diversity and vitality of street photography today.

To mark its ten-year milestone, BSPF will also present a special outdoor retrospective of past prize winners at Halles Saint-Géry, as well as an exhibition in collaboration with Brussels Major Event around Place de la Bourse. Installed in public spaces for all to see, these works return to the streets where they were first captured, celebrating a decade of award-winning photography while reflecting on how urban life, and the ways we capture it, have evolved.

Beyond the exhibitions, BSPF offers a dynamic public program including workshops, guided photo walks, talks, portfolio reviews, book signings, and a festive opening and award night. The festival’s mission remains to foster learning, exchange and collective celebration, turning Brussels into a living platform for photography and shared experience throughout the weekend.

IPFA’s visit to BSPF – Brussels Street Photography Festival, on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen ties between organizations and further consolidate a global network of collaboration around photography. Encounters like this foster the exchange of experiences, allow for a deeper understanding of the realities and challenges of each local context, and provide a framework for presenting the Report on the Current State of Photography Festivals Worldwide, which offers a broad and comparative perspective on the sector. IPFA’s presence also represents institutional support for the work carried out by the teams behind photography festivals and opens the door to new synergies that can strengthen both the international visibility and the long-term sustainability of each initiative.
