Stefan, aged 47, holds a law degree and has 15 years of experience in insolvency law practice. He left his career as a lawyer to enter the world of analogue and alternative photography in 2007, teaching himself both photography and art history. He began by printing his own slides on cibachrome paper and later explored various historical techniques such as cyanotype, gum bichromate, tricolour gum, carbon, ambrotypes, and albumen, as well as traditional darkroom developing and enlargement. In 2009, he held a solo exhibition of giant ambrotypes (40 x 40 cm) made with a homemade camera. In recent years, he has focused on experimenting with and combining different techniques in search of something new and unexpected.
