Marta Fàbregas

Biography

Marta Fàbregas Aragall (Barcelona, 1974) is an artist, activist and photographer trained at the Institute of Photographic Studies of Catalonia. Her feminist practice is reflected both in her art and in her everyday life. She works actively with the SETBA Foundation, leading workshops for groups at risk of social exclusion, such as the one carried out with women from Brians 1 Prison, whose results were published. She has exhibited at the Frederic Marès Museum in Barcelona, Pigment Gallery in Barcelona and Paris, and at Palau Robert as part of the Kronos Festival. Her work is held in collections such as those of the Lluís Bassat Foundation and the Artemizia Foundation. She was co-director of the LUMÍNIC photography festival and is president of the Sant Cugat Women Entrepreneurs’ Network.
