International Photo Festival Olten

The INTERNATIONAL PHOTO FESTIVAL OLTEN (IPFO) was founded in 2017 by photographers Marco Grob and Remo Buess. Since then, the festival has been held as a biennial event and has established itself as an important platform and meeting point within the photography scene.
In 2025, the festival celebrated its fifth edition and reached a new record, attracting more than 15,000 visitors to Olten. With its diverse programme and wide range of photographic perspectives, IPFO fosters curiosity, openness and dialogue. It inspires and moves professional audiences, photography enthusiasts, families and school classes alike, while encouraging new ways of seeing and thinking.
Despite its remarkable growth and scale, the festival has retained its unique atmosphere: IPFO remains a place for personal, intimate and meaningful encounters, welcoming both a broad public and its community of friends and supporters.
