Project

"Cuando Se Acaba el Día" seeks to preserve the memory of one of the greatest massacres committed against the civilian population
during the Spanish Civil War, through the testimonies of survivors and their families. Their portraits interact
with archival footage and snapshots of a coastline where remnants of the old highway still remain. A landscape
that is once again traversed by those seeking a new opportunity across the sea—a sight that recalls
those who fled in 1937.
