Camila Nahien

Biography

​A filmmaker graduated from the University of Chile and holder of a diploma in aesthetics, feminisms, and cultural criticism from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, her approach focuses on exploring narratives of gender equality through memory, autobiography, and a range of experimental formats. She stands out as the producer of the short film Aguas Abajo by Nicolás Tabilo, selected for “Talento Nacional” at SANFIC in 2015. Her work VIOLENTA was part of the Official Selection of the Feminist Film Festival of Mexico. She is currently developing her first feature, the documentary Tía Mía, which addresses domestic violence from an autobiographical perspective. She has taken part in the FEMCINE First Features Laboratory and collaborates as a producer on various film projects and festivals.
