Gabriele Coassin, an artisan photographer and reporter in his youth, was included in the first Bolaffi volume/catalogue of Italian photographers. He later became an award-winning filmmaker and author of professional texts, as well as a teacher in Italian universities and academies. Now retired, he has returned to his old photographic passion, becoming a tireless experimenter in alchemical processes to be reproduced in specific workshops or in educational and experiential digital detox courses for younger generations, leading to the rediscovery of the slow manual processes of proto-photography and ancient pre-cinema practices.
