Isla is an audiovisual collective devoted to experimental artistic creation, with experience in developing projects in the field of the visual arts. Isla creates video and photography projects in collaboration with artists, musicians, and other collectives. Their interests include cinema, experimental photography, immersive installations, and printed publications. Isla is a traveller through [No]time and is currently at home in Barcelona and Bogotá. In the seven years since its creation, Isla has positioned projects such as Itinerant Audiovisual Projection, an international photography call shown in multiple cities, giving visibility to the work of more than 50 artists in each edition. More recently, it launched the curatorial project CEL, Latin American Experimental Film Cycle, which seeks to strengthen the visibility of filmmakers focused on contemporary avant-garde cinema processes. Isla is currently running a photography residency in Barcelona, where it develops a creative process exploring different analogue techniques and processes.
