Jill Enfield

Biography
Jill Enfield is a fine art photographer, educator and curator, specialising in historical techniques and alternative processes. She leads workshops and lectures worldwide and has written three award-winning books on alternative photographic techniques, used in schools around the world. Enfield’s work has appeared on book, magazine and website covers, and has been exhibited in the United States and Europe. She was the keynote speaker for the Finnish Darkroom Association in 2022 and, in 2020, became an advisor to the Lishui Centre for International Handmade Photography in China. A member of the Parsons faculty since 1989, her work is held in museums and private collections. Her immigration series, first shown at Ellis Island, and her current project, The Way Home, use the wet collodion process.
