Kevin Hoth is an artist and educator based in Eldorado Springs, Colorado. He holds a Master’s degree in Photography from the University of Washington and teaches in the Critical Media Studies programme at the University of Colorado Boulder. His work has been exhibited globally at venues such as the Houston Center for Photography and the Museum of Contemporary Art Boulder. Hoth explores themes of loss and grief through fragmented and recombined photographic perspectives, using mirrors and altered instant film. His work challenges conventional viewpoints, creating new narratives by merging disparate spaces. More recently, he has experimented with pre-AI digital retouching tools to explore how algorithms affect identity and perception, inviting reflection on the impact of technology.
