Biography

Kimberly Halyburton Fuster (1990), Master in Research and Photographic Creation is a teacher, visual artist and develops his work in the area of ​​experimental photography. In the beginning she experimented with the camera obscura and from there she began to develop pinhole photography linked to the observation of the landscape and its deterioration. She has developed a critical look at his vulnerable state.

With studies in artisanal emulsions, she is interested in the use of cyanotype on various supports, experimenting with papers, fabrics, sea shells, wood, glass, etc., she also incorporates the use of natural materials.

As an image, she uses material from her family archive and from her country, Chile, seeking to represent the image of women from ancient times and thus contrast and make visible current social concerns.

She has been part of collective publications on photography and has exhibited his work collectively in Chile and virtually in Mexico and Argentina.

She currently works as a Visual Arts teacher, conducts experimental photography workshops and is a member of the Atkins Cooperative dedicated to experimentation with artisanal emulsions and alternative photographic processes.
