Lexy is an artist and researcher from Beijing, China, currently based in Bergen, Norway. She specialises in alternative and analogue photographic processes, textiles, and moving images, considering photography as a form of performance and action that goes beyond the content of the image. She has developed her own recipes and alternative silver-mirroring toning processes, aiming to bring silver back to the surface of silver gelatin prints and reintroduce degradation into her works. Lexy is particularly interested in repetitive gestures, durational performance, and materiality, exploring how time, perception, and repetition can generate a unique form of visibility and aesthetic experience.
