Malín Fabbri

Biography

Malin Fabbri, originally from Sweden, moved to London for her studies, earning a Master's degree in Design from Central Saint Martins. In 2000, she founded AlternativePhotography.com, a website about alternative photographic processes that now represents nearly 400 artists. Active as an editor, Malin teaches workshops and explores various alternative techniques. She is the author of several books on alternative processes and has led initiatives such as World Anthotype Day. Now based in Stockholm, Sweden, Malin balances her professional ventures with raising her two children, Maximillian and Ruben. Her commitment to art and her continued exploration of new media have established her as a leading figure in the alternative photography community.

Statement

As the editor of Alternative Photography.com, cyanotype is a natural choice, since it is a great teaching tool and a means of expressing creativity. Other processes I favor working in are anthotypes, photo polymer and gum bichromates.
