Biography
A graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and holder of a Master’s degree in Contemporary Cinema from Pompeu Fabra University, Ávila Català investigates the relationship between landscape and the individual through photography, painting and video art. His work examines the tension between human beings, territory, technology and the environment, proposing a reflection on our place in the world. He has exhibited in spaces such as Fundación Unicaja, Sala Parés, Fundación Arranz-Bravo and Les Boutographies (France), and has been published in magazines such as Lluernia, Analog Magazine and Furia Umana. His work has received recognition in competitions such as Art Emergent Sabadell, Fundación Vila Casas and the Tokyo International Photo Award. He uses the visual medium as a poetic and critical language that interweaves emotion, experience and thought.
