Project
“Childhood” is a series of photographs the artist created between 2017 and 2022. The photos were taken in Tucumán (Argentina), the province where she lived for 30 years. In them, she portrays her sons and daughters in the natural, rural setting of the Tucumán hills. “I wonder what my children will remember about these—their vacations. When they recall those long hours outside of time, outside their routines, in that in-between space, with its own rules, rituals, and reverie. On the long journey between my childhood and theirs, I weave a bridge in images between my memories and their present, the real and the imaginary, in a setting where the familiar becomes strange.”
