Mariana Bellone is a photographer, documentary filmmaker and teacher of photography and film workshops originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her work focuses on directing, shooting and editing her own films, addressing themes related to the body, gender, representation and power relations in photography and cinema. She works with archival material and is interested in its re-signification over time. In photography, she has participated in various publications and exhibitions, both solo and group. Mariana coordinates Contar nuestra historia, a documentary project development workshop aimed at women and dissident communities, and provides one-to-one advice for documentary projects in progress. Her filmography includes Un tigre arriba de la mesa (2018) and Yo soy Alma (2022).
