Nathyfa Michel
France (La Reunion)
Born in La Réunion in 1994, and raised in French Guiana, Nathyfa Michel has developed a photographic practice that blends archives, dreams, and performance to examine the circulation of legacies within colonial history. Through its fissures, she explores the dialogues between human, mineral, and plant bodies, where the transmission and healing of memories are reactivated.
A resident artist at WIELS in 2026 and winner of the 2025 SAIF x La Kabine Revelation Prize, she has exhibited at the Rencontres Photographiques de Guyane, the WOPHA Congress, the Bienal das Amazônias, the Photaumnales, and PhotoHanoi’25, among others.
