Project
“In the Folds of the Night” by Pierre-Yves Cruaud is a conceptual fine-art photography series that delves into the psychological and symbolic dimensions of the human body under tension, restraint and transformation. The black-and-white imagery creates surreal, dreamlike scenes in which fragmented figures and sculptural forms emerge from stark, minimal backgrounds, suggesting themes of entrapment, metamorphosis and inner struggle. Cruaud’s work resists literal realism, favouring poetic ambiguity that encourages viewers to reflect on the fragility of flesh and psyche, and the unseen forces that shape personal experience.
