Pilar is a 34-year-old artist and teacher living in Chile. She is primarily dedicated to teaching, which she considers her fundamental artistic practice. She holds a degree in Visual Arts with a specialisation in Printmaking and has complemented her training with studies in pedagogy. She works as an art teacher in a Chilean school. The development of her practice is centred on photography and its language, with a particular interest in exploring the poetic possibilities of the image in relation to landscape and the interaction between photography and other visual languages, such as graphic and painterly techniques. Through research and learning about experimental photographic processes, she seeks to enrich her teaching practice and extend her artistic language to another continent.
