Rafael Paris (Madrid, 1995) is an emerging photographer based in Porto, Portugal. A graduate and Master’s student in Photography at Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design (ESMAD), his style combines the documentary and the imaginative. He experiments with photochemical and analogue techniques to address themes such as time, self-representation and absence. His project “Johnny Bloody Candy” has been shown at festivals such as IRI in Vila do Conde (2022) and Solar Foto in Brazil. In 2024, he presented his photobook CQ General Call at the EST ART fair in Madrid and exhibited “Estudio París” at the Centro Português de Fotografia. With an introspective gaze, Rafael explores the limits of the photographic medium.
