Simone Azzoni (Asola, 1972) is an art critic and lecturer in History of Contemporary Art at IUSVE since 2012. In October 2023, he began teaching Aesthetics of the Visual Arts at the SantaGiulia Academy of Fine Arts in Brescia. He has also taught at the Palladio Institute of Design and the University of Verona. His career began in 1988 as assistant to the restorer Colalucci in the Sistine Chapel. He is interested in Net Art, New Media Art and Art Marketing. He has curated numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad and is a theatre critic for national media. He is co-artistic director of Theatre Art Verona and creator of the initiative Grenze - Arsenali Fotografici. He has published several texts on art and theatre.
