Hong Kong - United Kingdom

Biography

Yuk Tsang Ng, a recent graduate of the MA in Photography at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, is an innovative artist focused on found images and archives, exploring the materiality of photographs. His works investigate the convergence of the digital and the physical, reflecting on how the material aspects of photographs shape the interpretation of memories. Themes such as love, loss, and fragility are woven through his narrative. Originally from Hong Kong and currently based in London, his artistic journey began with an interest in photographic communication in long-distance relationships. Influenced by a challenging long-distance relationship, Ng uses fragmented photographs like brushstrokes to create his art, inspired by figures such as Wolfgang Tillmans and Gerhard Richter.
