A visit to the 18th edition of Photometria International Photography Festival in Ioannina, Greece, bringing together more than 50 artists across the city. A chance to discover new work, strengthen international connections and experience one of Greece’s key photography festivals.
The 2026 edition, developed around the theme Coming of Age (18+), included exhibitions, talks, screenings and activities connecting contemporary photography with audiences from Greece and abroad. We also had the opportunity to meet the Photometria team and strengthen the connection between our organisations through the IPFA network. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to discover new photographic practices, exchange perspectives and build connections within the international photography community.Experiencing festivals in person is at the heart of IPFA’s mission: creating meaningful relationships between festivals, artists and photography communities across borders.
